Mrs Barr - Deputy Headteacher

At St Laurence's Catholic Primary School children learn in a caring, safe and inclusive environment. Children are nurtured to achieve their full potential whilst learning how to keep themselves safe. Children are taught to develop positive and healthy relationships, encouraging team work and respect for one another.

St Laurence's  has a responsibility to share any concerns we may have, regarding the protection and safety of children to relevant external agencies including health and children’s services. School are not able to investigate concerns but have a duty to refer them.

In most cases school will inform parents/ carers if a referral needs to be made. St Laurence's follows current legislation and Local Safeguarding Children’s Board procedures with an aim to act in the interests of the child.

St Laurence's will always seek to work in partnership with parents and other agencies to ensure the best possible outcomes for the child and family.
